Se dice que una imagen vale más que mil palabras. Entonces, esto vale por varios miles: imágenes de nuestra mesa en la pasada edición de Expohobby 2012. Gracias a todos los que nos dieron una mano para llegar con todo, a los que nos apoyaron, a los que nos visitaron, a quienes nos acercaron su cariño, y a nuestras alumnas por todo su trabajo y esfuerzo.

Pérgola - Garden Trellis

Hola!!! Ya estamos casi casi con un pie en EXPOHOBBY 2012, en donde estaremos exponiendo nuestras miniaturas. Para este evento, hemos creado esta pérgola, donde cada planta es amorosamente cuidada para que al momento de la expo, sus flores estén en su mejor momento. Esperamos les guste!!! La estructura es desmontable (por eso las guías en el piso), y no llegaremos a tiempo con un arbisto trepador, será para más adelante.

Hello!!! We are just around the corner of EXPOHOBBY 2012, a show where we'll be displaying our miniatures. For this event, we've made this garden trellis, where each plant is lovingly cared for, so their flowers can be at the very best peak at the moment of the expo. We hope you like it. Structure is fully dismontable, that the reason of the guides on the floor. We will not make it with the climbing bush... pending for another oportunity.

Se acerca la Pascua - Easter is coming

Como ya se acerca la pascua, y siguiendo con mi humor de hacer conejitos, acá están unos conejos que fueron a revisar las canastas y se encontraron con un pequeño "hermanito" al que no saben si cuidar o comer... Para quienes no son de estas latitudes, les cuento que pro acá no estamos acostumbrados a los huevos coloreados, sino que los huevos de Pascua son enteramente de chocolate.

As Easter is coming, and following my mood of making rabbits, here I show you two bunnies that went to check abaskets and found a little "brother" they don't know if they should take care or eat him...For those who are not from these latitudes, hereby we are not used to coloured eggs, but eggs are entirely made of chocolate.

 

Amiguitos con pelo - Furred friends

Hola! Ha pasado un tiempo desde la última vez que publicamos en el blog, pero no por eso quiere decir que estuvimos alejados de las minis, todo lo contrario!! Trataré de ir mostrándoles de a pcoo algunas de las novedades.
Por el momento, les cuento que nos estamos preparando para Expohobby 2012 en los poquitos ratos que podemos hacerlo, y estos pequeñines harán su presentación allí. Están modelados a mano y con pelo aplicado. Quién sabe, tal vez después busquen nuevo hogar... pero eso será otra historia.


Hi! So long since last post, but that doesn't mean we were far from making miniatures: we were too involved in them!! We'll try to show you in future posts some of our new stuff.
But the point today is that we are getting ready to make our appearance in Expohobby 2012, though it's a must to say we do it in the rare free time we can find. These little fellows will be there. They are hand sculpted and furred. Who knows, maybe they will need an adopting family in the future, but that's a story to come...

Peceras - Fishbowls

Hola!! Acá les dejo fotos de algunas de las peceras más de cerca. Es complicado tomarles fotos, reflejan mucho la luz, y al igual que en las peceras redondas reales, la refracción hace que sea difícil ver el tamaño real de los peces (por eso las vistas desde arriba). Los peces miden entre 1 y 1,8 cm, y los hice de tres tipos: carassius, goldfish y "telescópico" (el negro de ojos saltones). Todo hecho a mano, desde el decorado hasta la última aleta.

Hello! Here you have closeups of some of the fishbowls of the previous post. It's hard to take good shots, glass and resin reflect a lot of light, and refraction -as in real life roub fishbowls- makes it hard to apreciate the real size of the fish inside (that's why the views from above). Fish are 1 to 1,8 cm long. There are three kinds of the: carassius, goldfish and "telescopic" (the black one with jumping eyes). Everything is handmade, from the scenery to the last wing of the fish.

Qué es esto?? - What is this??

Se acerca ya diciembre, y con ello, mucha actividad en lo que se refiere a miniaturas. Claro, antes hay que pasar noviembre, que no será mucho más tranquilo. Por eso, estamos trabajando y haciendo nuevas cositas. A ver si pueden decir de qué se trata esta foto (no digan que está complicado, es bien simple!)

December is coming, and a lot of miniature related activity comes with it. But first, we have to go trhough november, wich also has some shows sor us. That's why we are working hard and trying to make new stuff. Let's see if you can guess what is there in the picture (don't say it's complicated, I made very easy this time!)

Especial para el jardín - Garden Special

El invierno ya está promediando, y la primavera empieza a asomar en el horizonte.
Estas piezas son de las que más disfruto realizar. Tanto la alacena como la mesa de jardinería están pintadas haciendo juego con técnica de decapée, todos los accesorios realizados íntegramente a mano. Llevan tiempo, pero uno disfruta de todo el proceso. Espero que a ustedes también les guste el resultado final. Saludos!!

Winter is slowly giving up lopw temps, and spring is rising on the horizont.
These pieces are some of the ones I enjoy the most making. Both hutch and potting bench are paintend and distressed in matching colours, I used the decapée technique. Every thing made to fill them is entirely handmade. They take time, but I do enjoy all the process. Hope you like the final product as much as I do. Hugs!!
